Parmelee Key is a 40 acre property that consists of a total of 10 lots with an additional 20 acres of private yacht basin and bay bottom! I am proud to say that four generations of my family have now enjoyed the property that was originally purchased by my grandfather. My parents platted the property with the ten lots and two large common areas, one of which was specifically set aside for the Eagles that have nested here for many years. My parents retained one and a half lots for our family to continue to enjoy for years to come.

Each parcel features extensive open bay side frontage on one side of the parcel with as much as 257 linear feet of waterfront on the open water side! We are fortunate to enjoy both bay frontage and a protected yacht basin! We see lots of sailboats peacefully passing by and lots of dolphins at sunset!

Each parcel also features yacht basin frontage of as much as 321 linear feet. Our deep water basin is the perfect home for your yacht without obstructing your open water views! We frequently see tarpon rolling in the lagoon, manatees and even crocodiles visit once in a while.

Four generations of our family have snorkeled and fished directly from our property! Parmelee Key has coral and tropical fish directly in front of our house! Many tarpon and snapper have been caught here! My son James caught this tarpon from the property. He learned to fish right here at Parmelee Key and now owns Goodman Charters in Fort Myers/Cape Coral area.

Alfred Parmelee completed the dredging and filling of the property in the early 1950’s and the Parmelee Family Home has been the only house on the property for over 70 years! For the first time a few privileged people will have the opportunity to build their dream home on this rare gem in beautiful Islamorada and join the Parmelee descendants in enjoying this pristine island in the Florida Keys!

They bought a number of properties in the area at that time and stayed primarily in a house by Bud and Mary's.
